WWII saw more than 15 million military service members from both the Allies and Axis powers die. More than 38 million civilians died as a result. These numbers are conservative and limited to several factors. The rise of Fascism, the economic crisis, and the lack of treaties between the Allied powers was a recipe for disaster in the early to late 1930s, ultimately culminating in WWII. Today, in 2025, echoes of the past harken back to those times, with each day getting louder. We must listen to these echoes and understand the efforts of those who came and sacrificed their lives and peace in the face of oppression and injustice. To do otherwise is nothing but a disservice to our country and those who reside within, be they citizens or not. We are all ONE, and we MUST stand united in this cause or let the efforts of those who came before us die in vain. What side are you on? What will you choose for your country?

“A fascist is one whose lust for money or power is combined with such an intensity of intolerance toward those of other races, parties, classes, religions, cultures, regions or nations as to make him ruthless in his use of deceit or violence to attain his ends.”

— Henry Wallace—33rd Vice President of the United States (1941-1945)
